The surgical procedure is safe, predictable and has minimum risks in trained hands of Dr Gahankari. This procedure is performed by Dr Gahankari in a fully accredited hospital, with the assistance of a qualified anaesthetist.  It is commonly performed as a day surgical procedure. The process involves first a complimentary consultation with our experienced and friendly nurse about the procedure and sizing, and subsequently a consultation with Dr Gahankari. Deciding the appropriate size and type of the implants is the critical step. During this consultation, decisions are also made with regards to the type of the implant (silicone gel or saline), type of implant surface (smooth or textured) and shape of the implant (round or tear drop). It is also decided whether the implant is to be placed under or over the muscle. Dr Gahankari and his team will help you make these decisions in a friendly and a non-hurried manner. As part of the recovery you may experience swelling and bruising for some weeks as well as over or under sensitive skin. Although rare, complications such as infection, blood or fluid collection, scaring and asymmetry may result from breast augmentation.
