Skin Photo Rejuvenation

Broad Band Light – BBL

BBL (Broad Band Light) photo rejuvenation therapy  is a remarkable breakthrough in skin rejuvenation therapy for men and women. BBL photo rejuvenation therapy can help men and women achieve a younger, more refreshed look to their skin. It can help reduce the appearance of sun spots and roll back the years on those unsightly age spots.

BBL photo rejuvenation therapy can also help reduce the visibility of a wide variety of skin conditions including rosacea, warts, broken capillaries and acne. BBL is only available from the - state of the art Sciton Laser equipment that we proudly offer to our valued clientele. BBL photo-rejuvenation is the safe, effective and gentle way to significantly reduce blemishes like brown spots, hair follicles and capillary vessels.BBL photo rejuvenation therapy employs the technology of pulsed light that heats the outer layer of skin in the problem area. This gentle heating from the pulsed light penetrates the outer layer of the skin and stimulates the skin cells beneath the skin, promoting collagen production that naturally helps revitalize the skin's appearance.

Specially trained nurses at the Advanced Aesthetix laser centre will assess your skin type, along with the problem spots, carefully choose the settings and target these spots. The blemish is destroyed by the heat energy generated by the absorbed light. It a common ‘WIWO’ – ‘Walk In Walk Out’ procedure at our centre. It involves very little, if any, discomfort and is very popular for face, chest and hands. What we do advise our clients is that photo-rejuvenation is best avoided if you have had a recent tan – natural or fake. Any photo-rejuvenation procedure can be harmful to your skin if it is tanned.

A Medicare rebate may be claimed for BBL treatment of vascular lesions of the head or neck where abnormality is visible from 3 meters, up to a maximum of 6 sessions in any 12 month period. The remaining out-of-pocket costs may then be eligible for the Medicare Safety Net, more information of which can be obtained by ringing Medicare Australia on 13 20 11
