Are anti-wrinkle injections for me?
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin causes the skin to loose elasticity. Combined with lifestyle factors such as exposure to the sun and repeated facial movements, the result is facial wrinkles, including furrows in your forehead, vertical frown lines between your eyebrows and small wrinkles or “crow’s feet” around your eyes. Many people complain that some of these wrinkles give them an aged or angry appearance. Anti-wrinkle injectables can reduce or even eliminate these. Dermal Fillers, also offered at Advanced Aesthetics may be more suitable.
What are anti-wrinkle injections?
In keeping with government regulations we are unable to name the specific products used for cosmetic injections. The anti-wrinkle injectables we use at Advanced Aesthetics are made up of a naturally occurring toxin that weaken muscles when injected into them. The nerve impulse that initiates muscle contraction is blocked, thereby weakening these muscles. A detailed knowledge of the facial muscles and their reaction to anti-wrinkle injection is required to achieve the best, most natural results.
What results can I expect from anti-wrinkle injections?
Injectables are given with the finest available needles for comfort and for reducing bruising. Once facial expression muscles are weakened adequately, the appearance of wrinkles and facial lines is greatly reduced. You will notice significant results almost immediately, typically within a few days.
Warning
It is worth noting that there are many clinics and beauty salons offering anti-wrinkle injectables and treatments, often at a discount rate. However, inexperienced or untrained technicians may not have the required skill and knowledge to achieve the outcome you require. Often the result is unsatisfactory and ill-suited to your face. In some cases, there can be irreparable damage or disfigurement to the skin. When seeking any non-surgical treatment, we strongly suggest that you look for qualified and experienced Registered Nurses at a reputable clinic.
Are dermal fillers for me?
As we age, areas of our face lose volume, in particular the cheek areas. This ‘flattening’ of the upper cheek area, and subsequent sagging of the skin gives the face an aged and often tired appearance. Dermal fillers can restore a youthful fullness to your face. They can also be used to enhance the lip and smooth out wrinkles, although other treatments such as Lip Enhancement and Anti-Wrinkle Injectables offered at Advanced Aesthetics may be more suitable. Your clinician can discuss the options with you during your initial consultation.
What are dermal fillers?
In keeping with government regulations we are unable to name the specific products used for cosmetic injections. The latest dermal fillers are typically composed of a non-animal origin acid that occurs naturally in the body and attracts water and creates plumpness. Dermal fillers are injected below the skin’s surface to fill-in wrinkles, plump-up areas such as the lips, and restore fullness and volume to areas such as the cheeks.
What results can I expect from dermal fillers?
Side effects, such as minor redness and swelling are generally resolved within 24 hours. Results are visible immediately, and last around 4 to 12 months, depending on the filler, the technique and the area that is being injected. The more treatments you have, the longer the results last.
How do I get started?

Is a Hyperhidrosis treatment for me?
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition where sweat glands cause excessive sweating. Hyperhidrosis can affect any part of the body where sweat glands are found, however, the most common areas are the underarms, palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Hyperhidrosis sufferers are often self-conscious and avoid many situations and activities because of this condition. Advanced Aesthetics offers an injectable treatment solution to address this condition.
What is the Hyperhidrosis treatment?
In keeping with government regulations we are unable to name specific products used for excessive sweating injections. The anti-wrinkle injections we use at Advanced Aesthetics are made up of a naturally occurring toxin that is injected into the specific area. This targets the sweat glands, temporarily slowing down their function, and preventing excessive sweating. A very fine needle is inserted into the area and the substance injected. Most patients don’t require pain medication, but your doctor may administer a topical anaesthetic or oral analgesic for the more sensitive areas such as the palms and feet.
What results can I expect from a Hyperhidrosis treatment?
There is minimal to no discomfort after the treatment allowing you to get back to your normal activities straight away. You should expect to see the initial results two to three days after with the best effects about a week later. To avoid bruising, don’t take aspirin seven days before the procedure and two days after.
Is lip enhancement for me?
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin causes the upper and lower lips to lose volume and fullness. Lip enhancement, also known as lip fillers, restores this fullness, giving you the size and shaped lips you desire.
What is lip enhancement?
A variety of soft tissue lip fillers, including fat, collagen, and others, can be used to enhance the lips. Your clinical nurse at Advanced Aesthetics will discuss the best option to achieve your desired result. The filler is injected with a very fine needle into the treatment area.
What results can I expect from lip enhancement?
Lip enhancement will result in an immediate restoration of lip volume, however, the final result can take some days to come into effect. If you are planning injections for a specific occasion you should have them at least a week before the date. This is due to the fact that lip injections can initially cause some minor bruising and swelling to the lips.

Is liquid rhinoplasty for me?
For those looking to refine the shape of their nose, a Liquid Rhinoplasty can be the ideal alternative to surgery. As a precise procedure, your injector should be highly experienced, with a thorough understanding of facial anatomy.
What is liquid rhinoplasty?
One of the more exciting cosmedical procedures available today, the Liquid Rhinoplasty modifies the shape of the nose by using injectable fillers to alter the shape, size and position of the nasal tip, hide bumps and straighten the nose. It’s a fast, convenient and affordable alternative to surgery.
The treatment uses a thick, dermal filler to alter and reshape the areas of your nose that you wish to address.
After a free consultation with one of our medical professionals about your desired look, you can then make an appointment to have your nose skilfully reshaped by our Plastic Surgeon, Dr Dilip Gahankari.
We also use dermal filler to help those who have had a skin cancer removed from on the nose, a typical area for lesions, to camouflage and reshape the affected area. A typical Liquid Rhinoplasty procedure takes between 30 minutes and one hour.
The area where you have been injected may be slightly red, or bruised, and you may experience slight swelling for a couple of days. Unlike plastic surgery, there is no lengthy healing time required and seeing results is very easy after just a few days.
What results can I expect from liquid rhinoplasty?
You can expect immediate results from a Liquid Rhinoplasty that will last between six months to one year. As a very precise procedure, the quality of your results are dependant on the skill and expertise of your injector. As a highly respected and experienced Plastic Surgeon, Dr Dilip Gahankari is ideally qualified to deliver the desired results.
